Incorporating the might of a Steinway & Sons Model D Concert Grand Piano, this is the latest release from Nigel Dalton-Ginever.

Composition of the first piece began in 2014 as part of the composer's self-imposed challenge to write an intricate piano piece without the use of an instrument. Later the same year, with work less than 50% complete, a lack of time and subsequent slow progress resulted in the project being shelved indefinitely.

Almost 7 years later, during a worldwide virus pandemic, the hand-written manuscript was rediscovered and work resumed. Upon its completion, 9 more pieces were composed during the ensuing months - with all of them being finished by the Summer of 2020. Each has a unique style and draws inspiration from works by some of the greatest piano composers - including Chopin, Beethoven, Satie & Debussy.

‘Recital’ was recorded in Wales during the Autumn/Winter of 2020.
